Abstract:

Disclosed is a potassium fluoride dispersion solution composed substantially of potassium fluoride and an aprotic organic solvent having a boiling point higher than that of methanol, which is prepared by mixing a mixture of potassium fluoride and methanol in an amount of 5 to 50-fold greater by weight than that of potassium fluoride with the aprotic organic solvent, and then condensing the resulting mixture. Also disclosed is a process for the production of a fluorinated organic compound, comprising the step of contacting the potassium fluoride dispersion solution with an organic compound having at least one group which can be substituted by a fluorine atom in a nucleophilic manner.
