Abstract:
A method for manufacturing a secondary battery, according to one embodiment of the present invention, comprises the steps of: accommodating an electrode assembly in a space between an upper case and a lower case; thermally fusing edge parts of the upper case and the lower case to each other, wherein each of the edge parts of the upper case and the lower case comprises a base layer, a metal layer and a sealing layer, which are sequentially stacked, and the method further comprises, before the step of thermal fusing, a step of forming a plurality of grooves in one surface of a sealing layer of the upper case and/or the lower case.
