Abstract:
The present invention relates to a pouch-type battery cell, comprising: a battery case comprising a laminate sheet including an inner adhesive layer, a metal layer, and an outer skin layer; a battery assembly accommodated in the battery case; and a foam layer coated on the outer surface of an outer skin layer of any one of a first surface or a second surface of a battery assembly storage unit in the battery case, wherein the foam layer alleviates volume expansion of the pouch-type battery cell, and is thereby capable of minimizing deformation of the external appearance of the pouch-type battery cell and a battery module.
