Abstract:
Provided are a pouch type cell and a sealing part molding method thereof, wherein, through molding by infrared heating, a sealing part of a pouch cell is completely fixed even without using a tape so that the full width of the pouch cell is uniformly maintained from the top to the bottom thereof. The pouch type cell includes: an electrode assembly accommodating part; and a sealing part disposed in each of opposite lateral ends of the electrode assembly accommodating part and protruding to the outside, wherein the sealing part includes an overlapping portion at which the front end of the sealing part is folded to be overlapped, and the overlapping portion of the sealing part forms a predetermined angle in a range of 80 degrees to 90 degrees with respect to the sealing part excluding the overlapping portion without help of external force.
