Abstract:

Disclosed is a powder-adding device disposed directly above a travel path (L) of a filter tow (FT), wherein said device is provided with: a sieve shell (30) comprised of a mesh sheet (32), an upper reinforcing sheet (34) and a lower reinforcing sheet (36); and a brush rotor (40) that sandwiches a powder (2) discharged from an outlet (21) of a hopper (20) between the sieve shell (30) and said brush rotor. Said powder-adding device transports the powder (2) along the sieve shell (30) to a sprinkling port (18) as the brush rotor (40) rotates, such that said powder drops freely through the sprinkling port (18) onto the upper surface of the filter tow (FT).
