Abstract:
The present invention proposes an annealing separator which enables a steel sheet to retain a good coil shape after annealing if the steel sheet is wound into a coil shape after being coated with this annealing separator, and subsequently annealed at a high temperature that is higher than 1000°C. A powder for annealing separators to be used in the above-described annealing separator contains from 0.2 mass% to 5.0 mass% of particles which have a particle diameter of more than 45 μm but not more than 75 μm, and which are mainly composed of magnesium oxide, while containing from 0.020 mass% to 0.200 mass% of B, from 0.030 mass% to 1.000 mass% of SO3 and from 0.050 mass% to 1.000 mass% of P2O3; and particles having such a particle diameter contain not less than 0.002 mass% but less than 0.020 mass% of boron (B), less than 0.030 mass% of SO3 and less than 0.050 mass% of P2O3.
