[Problem] To provide a multifunctional powder-containing non-biodegradable resin composition which does not affect the human body, has excellent antibacterial, preservative, and odor eliminating effects, and is very cost effective as a material. [Solution] A powder-containing resin composition is produced by mixing and kneading either calcium oxide fine powder obtained through high temperature calcination of egg shells, marine mollusk shells, or land mollusk shells or calcium hydroxide fine powder (i.e. the calcium oxide with water added thereto) with either calcium carbonate fine powder of egg shells, marine mollusk shells, or land mollusk shells or fibrous material fine powder of wood or paper (pulp) at a predetermined ratio into a resin composition. Antibacterial tableware (e.g., chopsticks and spoons) and packaging materials will be produced using the powder-containing resin composition as a material since said composition has excellent antibacterial properties and is very safe for the human body. Also provided is a powdered antibacterial agent.
