Abstract:
This powder (1) for dust cores is an assembly of soft magnetic particles (2), each of which comprises a soft magnetic metal particle (21) and a ferrite coating film (22) that covers the surface of the soft magnetic metal particle (21). The ferrite coating film (22) is configured of ferrite crystal grains (221) having a spinel structure; and a diffraction peak (101) ascribed to the ferrite crystal grains (221) is present in a powder X-ray diffraction pattern (10). Meanwhile, according to a method for producing a powder for dust cores of the present invention, a starting material powder (3), which is configured from an assembly of soft magnetic metal particles (21), is prepared; a plurality of ferrite fine particles (220) are formed on the surface of each soft magnetic metal particle (21) of the starting material powder (3); and the ferrite fine particles (220) are coarse-crystallized by means of a heat treatment so that a ferrite coating film (22), which is configured of ferrite crystal grains (221) having a spinel structure, is formed on the surface of each soft magnetic metal particle (21).
