Abstract:
A powder magnetic core manufacturing method based on simple pressure molding is provided which, while ensuring high strength and insulation, is adaptable to complex shapes. This powder magnetic core manufacturing method uses a metal-base soft magnetic material powder, and is characterized by involving a first step for mixing a soft magnetic material powder and a binder and thereafter spray-drying the same, a second step for pressure molding the mixture obtained in the first step, a third step for subjecting the molded body obtained in the second step to grinding and/or cutting, and a fourth step for heat treating the molded body obtained in the third step, wherein by heat treating the molded body in the fourth step, an oxide layer including the elements contained in the soft magnetic material powder is formed on the surface of the soft magnetic material powder.
