Abstract:
Disclosed is a powder which is produced by drying a slurry containing primary particles of hydroxyl apatite and aggregates of the primary particles and granulating the dried product and is mainly composed of secondary particles of hydroxyl apatite. The powder is characterized in that the bulk density of the powder is 0.65 g/mL or more and the specific surface area of the secondary particles is 70 m2/g or more. The powder has high strength, and can exhibit an excellent adsorption ability when used as an adsorbent in an adsorption device.
