The present invention addresses the problem of providing: a powdery component which makes it possible to form a coating film having excellent transparency; a resin composition for coating use; and a coating film. The powdery component according to the present invention comprises a polyarylate that contains a repeating unit represented by formula (A-I) and a repeating unit represented by formula (A-II) and a compound that is different from a polyarylate and has a repeating unit represented by formula (B), and the powdery component has a value determined by subtracting a measurement value 1 from a measurement value 2 of 2000 ppm by mass or less. The measurement value 1: a ratio of the mass of a compound represented by formula (C) in the powdery component to the whole mass of the powdery component. The measurement value 2: a ratio of the mass of the compound represented by formula (C) in a mixture prepared by mixing the powdery component with diethylamine to the whole mass of the powdery component.
