Abstract:
A powdery composition for hexavalent chromium treatment includes a hexavalent-chromium-reducing compound component capable of reducing hexavalent chromium to trivalent chromium, and a component capable of trapping the moisture in air and capable of dissolving in water, the hexavalent-chromium-reducing compound component including an organic compound (A) that has a structure represented by chemical formula (1) having the property of acting on hexavalent chromium to reduce the same to trivalent chromium and also has a hydroxyphenyl group, and does not have an aldehyde group or a carboxyl group.
