Abstract:
Disclosed are powdery silica composite particle which are obtained through
a surface treatment process wherein an acid or an alkali is added into a reaction
raw material solution, which is obtained by mixing a silica sol containing core
silica particles having an average particle size of 5-200 nm, an alkoxysilane
and an ionic liquid such as a phosphonium salt or an imidazolium salt, for performing
a hydrolysis reaction of the alkoxysilane, thereby treating the surfaces of
the core silica particles. Also disclosed are powdery silica composite particles
having an average particle size of 5-900 nm, wherein the surfaces of core silica
particles are loaded with an ionic liquid. Further disclosed are powdery silica
composite particles having an average particle size of 5-900 nm, each of which
particles is composed of a core silica particle and a silica coating film formed
on the surface of the core silica particle and containing an ionic liquid. By
using such powdery silica composite particles, there can be obtained a dispersion
liquid, resin composition or the like wherein an ionic liquid is finely and uniformly
dispersed.
