Abstract:
Provided is a power amplifier circuit in which the operation speed of an overcurrent or overvoltage protection function is improved. The power amplifier circuit comprises: an amplifier which amplifies a radio frequency signal and outputs an amplified radio frequency signal; a bias current supply circuit which supplies a bias current to the amplifier; a detection circuit which detects whether or not a current or voltage of the amplifier is equal to or higher than a predetermined threshold; and an extraction circuit which extracts at least a part of the bias current supplied to the amplifier when the detection circuit detects that the current or voltage is equal to or higher than the predetermined threshold.
