Abstract:
A power-assisted bicycle (1) according to an embodiment of the present invention is provided with: an electric motor (53) that generates an auxiliary force for assisting the human power of a rider; a handle (14) that the rider grips with the hands for steering; an operation device (80) that is provided on the handle (14) and that has operation switches (82, 83, 84) that receive operations from the rider and a changeover switch (81) that receives, from the rider, an operation for changing functions to be assigned to the operation switches (82, 83, 84); and control circuits (60, 71) that perform control for causing the power-assisted bicycle (1) to execute different operations when the operation switches (82, 83, 84) are operated in a state in which the rider continues to operate the changeover switch (81), and when the operation switches (82, 83, 84) are operated in a state in which the rider is not operating the changeover switch (81).
