Abstract:
The present invention efficiently charges and heats a storage battery to increase the cruising range of an electric vehicle at the completion of charging. This power consumption control device is provided with: a storage battery 103; a heater 115 that heats the storage battery 103; ROM for storing data tables M1-M3 in which a combination of a temperature Tbat and the SOC of the storage battery 103 is associated with an amount of increase CBx in the effective capacity of the storage battery 103 when the storage battery 103 has been heated by the heater 115 that has received supply from each of a plurality of power Bx; and a control unit 121A that determines a charging power A which can be supplied to the storage battery 103, and that, on the basis of the charging power A, the amount of increase CBx corresponding to the current temperature Tbat and SOC in each of the data tables M1-M3, and the plurality of power Bx, distributes the charging power A to the storage battery 103 and the heater 115 so that the amount of increase in the effective capacity of the storage battery 103 is maximized.
