Abstract:
Disclosed in the present application are a power consumption management method and apparatus. The power consumption management method is applied to a computer system, and resources such as computing resources or communication resources in the computer system comprise a first resource area and a second resource area, and the resources provided by the first resource area comprise computing resources or communication resources for supporting the load of the first resource area. When a load migration condition is satisfied, the computer system can migrate the load of the first resource area to the second resource area. At this time, the load in the first resource area is reduced or there is no load. Therefore, the computer system can set the operating state of devices in the first resource area to be a state having lower power consumption, for example, a sleep state having lower power consumption or even a power-off state, etc. Thus, the power consumption of the first resource area can be reduced, and the overall power consumption of the computer system can then be reduced.
