Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to reduce an inrush current to a load in the event of a power outage. The power control device 101 comprises an inverter 25 and a control unit 30. Upon detecting a power outage of a power supply system 300, the control unit 30 performs control such that an output voltage to be supplied from the inverter 25 to a switching unit 102 increases to an operating voltage. The operating voltage is a voltage at which the switching unit 102 operates to switch electric power to be supplied to load devices 200 through 203 from the power supply system 300 to electric power from the inverter 25. Furthermore, when the output voltage has reached the operating voltage, the control unit 30 maintains the output voltage at the operating voltage or lower and subsequently performs control such that the output voltage increases to a predetermined voltage higher than the operating voltage.
