Abstract:
Provided are a power control method and a power control device for a hybrid vehicle, with which torque fluctuation in an engine can be effectively absorbed while minimizing the decrease in energy efficiency. A power control device for a hybrid vehicle has a PCM (14) that estimates the average torque outputted by an engine (2), estimates a torque fluctuation component in the torque outputted by the engine, sets a counter torque that minimizes the estimated torque fluctuation component, and controls an electric motor so that the set counter torque is outputted. The PCM sets the counter torque so that as the average torque outputted by the engine increases when the engine speed is constant, the absolute value of the counter torque increases.
