Abstract:
Provided is a power conversion apparatus which converts direct current into alternating current, and comprises, between a positive electrode and negative electrode through which direct current is input, a positive electrode-side capacitor (5a) and a negative electrode-side capacitor (5b) having a point of attachment serve as a neutral point. A switching pattern which identifies the switching phase which is the timing at which the switching element (6) of an inverter (4) that outputs an alternating current voltage having at least the potential of the positive electrode, the potential of the negative electrode and the potential of the neutral point is ON/OFF driven is determined conditional upon the ensuring of the modulation ratio, the deletion of each harmonic component of the output voltage, the ensuring of predetermined values for the phase difference of adjoining switching phases, and the balancing of the voltage of the positive electrode-side capacitor (5a) and the voltage of the negative electrode-side capacitor (5b).
