Abstract:
In order to downsize a power conversion apparatus, which controls a power converter connected to an electric motor, by reducing the number of current detectors for detecting phase currents, the present invention is provided with a current detector that detects the sum of the values of currents passing through a first switching element which is connected to a first phase of a first winding group among winding groups formed of multi-phase windings and through a second switching element which is connected to a second phase of a second winding group among the winding groups. A current value in another phase is calculated from the currents detected by the current detector.
