Abstract:
This power conversion device is provided with: a converter unit which comprises a rectifier for rectifying the AC voltage supplied from an AC source, a reactor, a switching element and a backflow prevention element, and which boosts the voltage rectified by the rectifier and outputs the same as the output voltage; a smoothing capacitor which smoothes the output voltage outputted from the converter unit; and a converter control means which controls operation of the switching element of the converter unit. The converter control unit has: a switching command calculation means which, on the basis of the detected output voltage from the converter unit and of the reactor current in the reactor, calculates a switching command value depending on the ratio of the rectified voltage to the output voltage; a switching control means which controls operation of the switching element on the basis of the switching command value calculated by the switching command calculation means; and a supply irregularity determination means which determines the occurrence of instantaneous power failures or instantaneous voltage drops on the basis of the switching command value.
