Abstract:
A power conversion device capable of being configured to be small in size and inexpensive is obtained in such a way that: a plurality of converter cells (20-1 to 20-N) are provided, which are each equipped with a pair of primary side terminals (25, 26) and a pair of secondary side terminals (27, 28) and transmit power between the pair of primary side terminals (25, 26) and the pair of secondary side terminals (27, 28); the primary side terminals (25, 26) of the converter cells (20-1 to 20-N) are connected sequentially in series with respect to a primary side power supply system (31); the secondary side terminals (27, 28) of the converter cells (20-1 to 20-N) are connected sequentially in series with respect to a secondary side power supply system (32); and the converter cell (20-N) having the highest absolute value of voltage to ground appearing at the pair of primary side terminals (25, 26) among the plurality of converter cells (20-1 to 20-N) is made to differ from the converter cell (20-1) having the highest absolute value of voltage to ground appearing at the pair of secondary side terminals (27, 28).
