Abstract:
In order to accurately measure a secondary time constant of an induction machine by a power conversion device, this secondary time constant measurement method for an induction device is used in a control device that controls the magnitude and frequency of the output voltage of a power converter for driving the induction machine. A control device is provided with a d-axis current control unit and a q-axis current control unit which control the output current of a power conversion device for driving the induction machine in accordance with a d-axis current command value, the d-axis being the magnetic flux axis of a rotating magnetic field coordinate system, and a q-axis current command value, the q-axis being the torque axis of the rotating coordinate system. The secondary time constant of the induction machine is measured from the attenuation waveform of the output of the q-axis current control unit when the q-axis current command value is set to zero and, during rotation of the induction machine, the d-axis current command value is step-changed to a nonzero value.
