Abstract:
Provided is a power conversion device which is capable of executing failure diagnosis on conduction paths on the basis of voltage measurement results. This power conversion device is provided with: a first inverter 120; and a control circuit 300 which controls on/off operations of switch elements in the first inverter, and diagnoses wire breakage failures of winding wires of n phases (n being an integer of 3 or higher). The control circuit generates control signals for turning on one low-side switch element of a first specific phase among n low-side switch elements in the first inverter, turning off the remaining n-1 low-side switch elements, and turning off all of n high-side switch elements, applies the control signals to the n low-side switch elements and the n high-side switch elements while the neutral point of a motor is in a configured state, measures the n-phase voltages which change in accordance with the pattern of wire breakage failures of the winding wires of the n phases, refers to a table in which patterns of wire breakage failures and n-phase voltage levels are associated with each other, and diagnoses wire breakage failures on the basis of the measured n-phase voltages.
