Abstract:
The present invention provides a power conversion device with which it is possible to detect failure of a switch element of an inverter in a shorter amount of time. This power conversion device 1000 comprises a first inverter 120, a second inverter 130, a failure detection device 340 that detects open failure of switch elements in the first and second inverters, and a memory 341. The failure detection device acquires a d axis current represented in a dq coordinate system and a zero phase current at a reference time for failure detection, writes the acquired d axis current and zero phase current data to the memory, and detects open failure of the switch elements in the first and second inverters on the basis of the absolute value of the difference between the acquired d axis current and zero phase current.
