Abstract:
A control unit (4) is capable of: generating a first switching signal based on a voltage command value and a first carrier wave (frequency Fc1), and a second switching signal based on the voltage command value and a second carrier wave (frequency Fc2≠Fc1); and calculating and estimating a resistance value (Rs) and a dead time error (∆Td) of an electric motor (7) in a short time using a same common means, said dead time error being a difference between a dead time effective value and dead time setting value, by being provided with a characteristic calculation unit (10) that estimates and calculates the resistance value and/or the dead time error on the basis of first operation characteristics of a power conversion unit (1), said first operation characteristics being obtained when a switching element is driven by means of the first switching signal, and second operation characteristics of the power conversion unit (1), said second operation characteristics being obtained when the switching element is driven by means of the second switching signal.
