Abstract:
A power conversion device has phase arms in which one or more converter cells are connected in series between AC terminals (U, V, W) and DC terminals (P, N). In the power conversion device, at least one of the converter cells is a first converter cell (10) in which an energy storage element (29), a first leg (Leg A), and a second leg (Leg B) are connected in parallel, said first leg having semiconductor switching elements (21s, 22s) constituting respective upper and lower arms, said second leg having a diode (23) constituting one of the upper and lower arms and a semiconductor switching element (24s) constituting the other one thereof.
