Abstract:
A power conversion circuit (2) has as the input thereto a multi-phase AC power source, and includes a plurality of bidirectional switches which are connected to each phase of the multi-phase AC power source. A switching control circuit (4) controls the states of the bidirectional switches and switches the combination of two phases of the multi-phase AC power source, pertaining to interphase voltage output from the power conversion circuit (2) to the load side. A resonator circuit (3) is connected to the output side of the power conversion circuit. When switching the combination of the two phases for outputting interphase voltage to the load side, the switching control circuit (4) carries out soft switching of the state of the bidirectional switches related to such switching.
