Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a power conversion device with which it is possible to suppress power consumption without wastefully consuming regenerative power even when there is no configuration for effectively using the regenerative power. The power conversion device operates so as to determine the magnitudes of the absorbable energy of a smoothing capacitor provided to the power conversion device, and motor kinetic energy calculated based on the quantity of state of a connected motor, and if the absorbable energy is greater than the motor kinetic energy, the regenerative power is not consumed in a regenerative resistor.
