Abstract:
A power conversion device of the present invention is provided with a plurality of cascade-connected cell blocks (CLB), and a plurality of bypass circuits (BC) electrically connected in parallel to the cell blocks, respectively. Each of the cell blocks (CLB) includes: a high potential-side first connection node (TP) and a low potential-side second connection node (TN) for connecting to other cell blocks; and a plurality of cell converters (CL), which are cascade-connected between the first and second connection nodes, and each of which includes an energy accumulator. In the cases where a direct-current failure current flows in the direction from the low potential side to the high potential side, the impedance of a current path via the cell blocks (CLB) is larger than the impedance of a current path via the bypass circuits (BC).
