Abstract:

In this power conversion device, the operation of an inverter (10) is stopped when a fault occurs in a power system (1) and the DC voltage (VDC) of a capacitor (15) included in a unit converter (5) exceeds a protection level (VH), the DC voltage control of the inverter (10) is restarted and the DC voltage (VDC) is speedily lowered when the DC voltage (VDC) falls to or below a return level (V1), and the reactive power control of the inverter (10) is restarted when the DC voltage (VDC) falls to or below a return level (V2). Accordingly, the operation of the inverter (10) can be swiftly restarted even when a fault occurs in the power system (1).
