Abstract:
The present invention reduces a waveform distortion in a power conversion device. Therefore, the power conversion device (102) is provided with: a plurality of cells (108) connected in series and each having a plurality of switching elements and at least one capacitor; a phase information generation unit (140P) for generating phase information; and on/off control units (140U, 140V, 140W) for turning on/off the switching elements of each of the cells (108) at a timing based on the phase information and cell-specific information of each of the cells (108). The on/off control units (140U, 140V, 140W) preferably control the on/off states of the switching elements of each of the cells (108) on the basis of the modulated wave of each of the cells (108) and the carrier wave of each of the cells (108). The phase information is preferably information involved in the voltage phase of an AC system (101) and the phase difference between the voltage phase and a carrier wave phase.
