Abstract:
A power conversion device of one embodiment performs power conversion between a DC circuit (4) and an AC circuit (2) and is provided with a plurality of leg circuits (8a, 8b, 8c) connected in parallel with each other between first and second DC terminals (Np, Nn) and electrically connected to the AC circuit. The plurality of leg circuits each include at least one first converter cell (6c, 6d) and a plurality of second converter cells (6a, 6b) except the first converter cell. The frequency of a first control signal for controlling switching of a semiconductor switching element included in the at least one first converter cell is larger than the frequency of a second control signal for controlling switching of semiconductor switching elements included in the plurality of second converter cells.
