Abstract:
Provided is a power conversion device that, with respect to an object being subjected to active power control, suppresses voltage ripples of a capacitor of a power converter. The power conversion device is provided with: a plurality of power conversion cells connected to each other and converting a primary-side system voltage to a secondary-side system voltage; capacitors connected to the plurality of power conversion cells, respectively; and a power conversion cell drive unit which adds to the AC voltage of each of the plurality of power conversion cells a 3N-th harmonic voltage of the AC voltage, where N is a natural number, and drives the power conversion cells so as to output a voltage obtained by adding the AC voltage and the 3N-th harmonic voltage.
