Abstract:
The power conversion device according to the present invention has a P-bus-line (P) and an N-bus-line (N) and is connected to a DC voltage source to which the P-bus-line and the N-bus-line supply DC power. The power conversion device is provided with: an external capacitor (2) having one end connected to the P-bus-line and the other end connected to the N-bus-line; a power module (20) having a chassis (8), switching elements (S) disposed inside the chassis and connected between the P-bus-line and the N-bus-line, and a snubber circuit (7) disposed inside the chassis and connected between the P-bus-line and the N-bus-line; a current detector (4) for detecting the current flowing through the external capacitor; and a snubber abnormality determination unit (6) for determining the abnormality of the snubber circuit on the basis of the current detected by the current detector. This makes it possible to determine the abnormality of a snubber circuit disposed inside a power module and obtain a power conversion device, the size of which can be reduced.
