Abstract:
A power conversion device (50) is provided with: a first inverter circuit (51) that is connected to a first end side out of two ends of windings (42U, 42V, 42W): a second inverter circuit (52) connected to a second end side: and a control unit (60) for controlling the first inverter circuit and the second inverter circuit. The control unit is configured so as to be able to implement: a first power conversion control for fixing an open/closed state of a switching element of the second inverter circuit and switching an open/closed state of a switching element of the first inverter circuit; and a second power conversion control for fixing the open/closed state of the switching element of the first inverter circuit and switching the open/closed state of the switching element of the second inverter circuit. The control unit: implements either the first power conversion control or the second power conversion control if an effective value of a drive current flowing to the windings is less than a threshold value; and switches to and implements either the first power conversion control or the second power conversion control if the effective value of the drive current flowing to the windings is at or above the threshold value.
