Abstract:
A power conversion device (100): is provided with a voltage-type power converter (20) and a current-type power converter (30) that each convert power between an alternating current and a direct current and controllers (50, 60); and transmits/receives power between alternating currents (10A, 10B) via a DC circuit (40). The controllers (50, 60) adjust the DC voltage at a DC terminal (20a) of the voltage-type converter (20) to a set first voltage value by controlling a semiconductor element in at least one of the voltage-type power converter (20) and the current-type power converter (30) in first startup control for starting up the voltage-type power converter (20) and the current-type power converter (30), thereby controlling a current flowing in the DC circuit (40) to a first current, which is equal to or less than the rated current value of the semiconductor element.
