A power conversion device (10) is provided with a power converter (30) that converts direct-current power supplied from a battery (20) into alternating-current power through switching control, and supplies the alternating-current power from the power converter to a rotating electrical machine (40) including windings (41). The power conversion device (10) is further provided with a control unit (70) that carries out temperature rise control of the battery through switching control of upper arm switches (QUH, QVH, QWH) and lower arm switches (QUL, QVL, QWL) such that an electric current is supplied to the battery via the power converter and the windings. In the temperature rise control when a vehicle is stopped, the control unit controls the electric current such that an electric current value of the rotating electrical machine gradually increases within such an electric current control range that the torque of the rotating electrical machine is less than an upper limit torque.
