Abstract:
This power conversion device comprises: a power conversion unit and a control unit. The power conversion unit has a first semiconductor module. The first semiconductor module includes a plurality of power semiconductor elements. Some of the plurality of power semiconductor elements are elements to be detected. The power conversion unit further has a temperature sensor and a voltage sensor. The temperature sensor detects the surface temperature of the elements to be detected as the sensor position temperature. The voltage sensor detects the voltage between terminals of the elements to be detected. The control unit calculates the loss in the elements to be detected, on the basis of the sensor position temperature and the voltage between the terminals, and estimates the maximum temperature on the basis of the calculated loss.
