Abstract:
Provided is a power converter cell and a power conversion device capable of high-speed communication by a low cost communication system while ensuring high voltage insulation. The power converter cell is provided with a main circuit including a first converter and a second converter, a first control circuit for controlling the first converter, and a second control circuit for controlling the second converter, and is operated by a control signal supplied from a central control device to the first control circuit and the second control circuit. The power converter cell is characterized in that: a first board and a second board are fixedly arranged at mutually opposing positions by supports, said first board being mounted with some or all of the constituents of the first control circuit, said second board being mounted with some or all of the constituents of the second control circuit; the control signal from the central control device is supplied to the first control circuit, and thereby the first converter is controlled by the first control circuit; and the control signal is further transmitted to the second control circuit by wireless communication between the first control circuit and the second control circuit, and thereby the second converter is controlled by the second control circuit.
