Abstract:
The objective of the present disclosure is to reduce power loss due to switching. A control unit (7) controls an inverter circuit (5) such that positive and negative voltages are applied alternately to a primary winding (19). During a first period including a reversal period in which the polarity of the voltage in the primary winding 19 is reversed, the control unit 7 controls a cyclo-converter (11) such that power is not transferred between the cyclo-converter (11) and the inverter circuit (5). During a second period different from the first period, the control unit (7) controls the cyclo-converter (11) such that power is transferred in a first direction from the cyclo-converter (11) toward the inverter circuit (5) or in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
