Title:
POWER CUT-OFF DEVICE FOR SURGE PROTECTOR APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2013/100472
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a power cut-off device for a surge protector apparatus. The power cut-off device for a surge protector apparatus (100) cuts off power when the temperature of a varistor (110) installed inside a surge protector apparatus case (130) is equal to or higher than a predetermined temperature. The power cut-off device is constituted by a terminal (122) and a leaf spring (121) transmitting electricity while in contact with a hot plate (111) of the varistor (110). A lower end portion of the leaf spring (121) is coupled with the terminal (122), and a protrusion is formed (123) in the middle of the leaf spring (121). The protrusion (123) comes into or out of contact with the hot plate (111) of the varistor (110). Therefore, according to the present invention, when the varistor is overheated, soft solder melts so that the leaf spring is detached from a surface of the varistor, the power is reliably cut off, and this fact is outwardly displayed.
