Abstract:
This power cutoff device is provided with: a relay unit having a switch unit having a conductive connection state and a non-conductive cutoff state; a cutoff unit connected to the switch unit of the relay unit in series and having a conductive connection state and a non-conductive irreversible cutoff state; a current detection unit configured so as to detect current to be detected which flows through the cutoff unit; and a control unit configured so as to control the relay unit and the cutoff unit. The control unit obtains the change rate of the current to be detected with respect to time. When it is determined that the change rate is not larger than a threshold change rate, the control unit brings the switch unit of the relay unit into the connection state and the cutoff unit into the connection state. When it is determined that the change rate is larger than the threshold change rate, the control unit brings the relay unit into the cutoff state and the cutoff unit into the irreversible cutoff state. This power cutoff device can be reduced in size.
