Abstract:
The present invention addresses the problem of providing a power device comprising a terminal-retaining member having outstanding insulating properties. The present invention relates to a power device which has a power element, a terminal, and a terminal-retaining member formed from a liquid crystal polyester, wherein the liquid crystal polyester has (1) repeating units derived from an aromatic hydroxycarboxylic acid, (2) repeating units derived from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid, and (3) repeating units derived from an aromatic diol, and the content of repeating units derived from isophthalic acid in the liquid crystal polyester is 0-7 mol% with respect to the total amount of all the repeating units in the liquid crystal polyester.
