Abstract:
A power feed control device (10) controls the power feed from a DC power source (11) to a load (12) by switching a MOSFET (20) on or off. A current regulating circuit (25) regulates a current, which flows through a device resistor (24), so as to be proportional to the voltage between the drain and the source of the MOSFET (20). A drive circuit (21) switches off the MOSFET (20) when the voltage across both terminals of a resistance circuit (26) exceeds a predetermined voltage. The on-resistance value of the MOSFET (20) changes in accordance with the ambient temperature of the MOSFET (20). The resistance value of the resistance circuit (26) changes in accordance with the ambient temperature of the MOSFET (20), said change being in a different direction from the on-resistance value of the MOSFET (20).
