Abstract:

A power feed device (100) feeds power, via a power reception unit (154) of a vehicle (150), to a storage battery (152) installed in the vehicle (150). A power feed unit (104) performs, with respect to the power reception unit (154), preliminary power feed while sequentially changing frequencies, and main power feed to such power reception unit (154) at a power level which is greater than that of the preliminary power feed. A power feed-side control unit (103) acquires frequency characteristics related to a power feed coil (104a), and on the basis of the acquired frequency characteristics, specifies resonant frequencies. In addition, on the basis of the frequency differences between the resonant frequencies, the power feed-side control unit (103) determines whether to feed power to a power reception coil (154a).
