A power-and-free conveyer externally provided with a tray turnover mechanism, comprising a main conveyor system (1) and a tray system (2). The main conveyor system (1) is provided with a conveyor body (3), an annular track (4), turnover mechanisms disposed at two ends of the conveyor body (3) and located at turning corners of the annular track (4), and a transmission mechanism (6) driving the tray system (2) to cyclically run along the annular track (4). The turnover mechanisms comprise a lower turnover mechanism (9) and an upper turnover mechanism (8). The lower turnover mechanism (9) comprises a lower turnover shaft (91), a lower turnover base (92), and a plurality of blocking piece components (94) disposed on the circumference of the lower turnover base (92). The upper turnover mechanism (8) comprises an upper turnover shaft (81), an upper turnover base (82), and a plurality of telescopic components (84) disposed on the circumference of the upper turnover base (82). A positioning pin (122) capable of being embedded into two adjacent blocking piece components (94) or telescopic components (84) is disposed on the tray system (2).
