Abstract:
Provided is a power generating device that does not require active layer patterning and can be manufactured by an application method. The power generating device (11) is provided with a supporting substrate (12) and a plurality of organic photoelectric conversion elements (13) provided in a prescribed arrangement direction on the supporting substrate and connected in series. Each of the organic photoelectric conversion elements comprises a pair of electrodes (14, 15) and an active layer (16) provided between the electrode pair. The active layer extends in the prescribed arrangement direction so as to extend over the plurality of organic photoelectric conversion elements. Each of the pair of electrodes has an extending part (17, 18) extending so as to protrude from the active layer in a direction perpendicular to both the direction of thickness of the supporting substrate and the arrangement direction. One electrode of the pair of electrodes extends in the arrangement direction from the extending part to the other electrode of another organic photoelectric conversion device adjacent in the arrangement direction. A connection part (19) that connects to the other electrode is also present.
