Abstract:
Disclosed are a power generation apparatus and a switch using the power generation apparatus. The power generation apparatus is provided with: a case; an operation member, which has first or second operation unit operated at the time of generating power; a power generation unit, which generates an induced electromotive force when a unit to be driven is driven; a sliding member which, by moving in the first direction or the second direction, drives the unit to be driven; first and second elastic means, which move and press the sliding member by accumulating an elastic force and outputting the accumulated elastic force; a first connection release mechanism, which makes the first elastic means accumulate the elastic force when the first operation unit is operated, permits the first elastic means to output the accumulated elastic force when the operation member passed an accumulation completed position, and makes the sliding member move in the second direction; and a second connection release mechanism, which makes the second elastic means accumulate the elastic force when the second operation unit is operated, permits the second elastic means to output the accumulated elastic force when the operation member passed an accumulation completed position, and makes the sliding member move in the first direction.
